The Stem Cell Debate is Over
The last few years we’ve seen a flood of breakthroughs with treatments and cures using adult stem cells. At the same time, embryonic stem cells have done nothing to alleviate disease and other conditions plaguing the human race. Dr. Roberto Bolli, the director of cardiology at the University of Louisville, has been working since 2000 to develop a treatment for congenital heart disease. It’s a treatment that has transformed the life of Mike Jones, a Vietnam vet who used to suffer from congestive heart failure. Though the field is still in its infancy, we’ve seen many successful outcomes with adult stem cells. Dr. Bolli is optimistic the use of adult stem cells could be one of the biggest medical advances in his lifetime.
